Whether they’re dingy, cracked, chipped or just oddly shaped -- whatever the problem, it’s hard to have high smile confidence when your teeth just don’t look their very best. If you’ve got imperfect front teeth, you know you need to find a solution. Porcelain veneers in the Woodlands transform smiles almost instantly, and that’s why they’re one of the most popular treatments in cosmetic dentistry today. Are you ready for a new, dazzling smile? Keep reading to learn what you can expect from veneers.

Are Porcelain Veneers Right for You?

Porcelain veneers completed through Dr. Taylor’s office are a wonderful way to get the smile of your dreams -- right here in The Woodlands. They can correct a number of aesthetic problems affecting the front teeth, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Chips or cracks
  • Slight gaps or misalignments
  • Teeth that appear stubby or short in the gum line
  • Stained teeth that haven’t responded well to whitening treatments

Once you decide that veneers are just the right treatment for you and your smile, you can expect the full procedure to be carried out over two visits to Dr. Taylor’s The Woodlands office. Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect.

The First Visit

Your initial appointment for veneers is Dr. Taylor’s chance to get to know about you and your true smile desires. It’s important that you thoroughly communicate your likes and dislikes during this visit -- it can help to bring in photos and magazine clippings to illustrate what you do and don’t want to achieve with veneers.

After Dr. Taylor understands your dental desires, he’ll consider your face shape, skin tone and other factors that influence your smile to put together a veneer treatment plan that’s perfect for you. Using digital imaging, we can even show you what your new smile will look like in this initial appointment!

Once your treatment plan is in place, Dr. Taylor will prepare your teeth for veneers placement. This involves buffing a small amount of enamel -- just about 1 to 2 millimeters -- to make room for the veneer on each tooth. Then, we’ll take an impression of your mouth to be sent off to the trusted lab where your new veneers will be expertly crafted. You leave this first visit with temporary veneers, and halfway to your new teeth and higher smile confidence.

The Second Visit

When you come into our office for your second visit, you’re so close to enjoying your amazing smile results! After we administer a local anaesthetic for your complete comfort, Dr. Taylor will remove your temporary veneers and check your new ones for final fit. If everything is as it should be, you get the final say before they’re securely bonded on -- and then you’re walking out of our office the proud owner of your new, stunning smile!

Services from your Woodland Dentist

When you have a family to take care of, time can be in short supply. That’s why we provide a wide variety of dental services that can help smiles of all ages, eliminating tedious visits to other offices. From routine hygiene to revitalizing restorative care to Invisalign treatment and much more, Dr. Taylor, the dentist Woodlands residents trust, and his team have the skills and dedication needed to not only meet, but exceed your expectations.

At the foundation of our services is your twice-yearly dental checkup. These appointments serve as the baseline from which we develop a treatment plan to help you maintain your best oral health. Beyond cleaning and polishing your teeth, one of our skilled hygienists will also examine your teeth and gums, looking for signs of decay or gum disease. Periodically, we will also take digital x-rays to find any concerns that are not visible to the naked eye, such as a cavity between two teeth or infection developing deep inside a tooth. Another very important component of a checkup is an oral cancer screening. This disease is highly treatable and curable when found early.

Similarly, other oral and dental health concerns are relatively easy to treat when found sooner rather than later. Some of the restorative treatments Dr. Taylor offers to repair your smile include:

  • Tooth-Colored Fillings
  • Dentures and Partials
  • All Porcelain Crown, Inlays and Onlays
  • Root Canals
  • CEREC one-visit crowns and other restorations
  • Bridges
  • Dental Implants

For those times when you want to enhance your smile, we have a number of cosmetic treatments. One of the most cost-effective is teeth whitening with Zoom! Whitening. In just one appointment, you can have a smile that is several shades brighter and whiter.

Have a chipped or slightly cracked tooth? Cosmetic bonding uses tooth-colored composite resin material to rebuild and reshape your tooth. If you have several teeth that are chipped, cracked, misshaped or slightly misaligned, then consider porcelain veneers. These coverings are adhesively bonded to your teeth, so you can present an aesthetically pleasing smile to family, friends and colleagues.

We proudly serve patients in Conroe, The Woodlands, Spring, Houston and surrounding communities. Call our office in The Woodlands, TX today to schedule an appointment for yourself or another member of your family.
